Are these courses for you?
See if our programmes match your situation-no pressure, just clarity.
This is a good fit if you:
- are looking to begin a career in data, whether you're a beginner or a professional transitioning from another field
- can commit consistent time each week to learning and completing projects
- value the flexibility of a fully online programme with evening classes and no travel time
It may not be a fit if you:
- are hoping for a “get rich quick” scheme or a guaranteed job outcome
- cannot dedicate regular time each week to studying and practicing
- expect to land a data job without building your skills, developing a portfolio and CV, and practicing interview skills
Common questions
The five things people ask before they apply - for more detail, see our full FAQ.
Do I need a technical background?
+
No, not for every programme. Data Analytics and AI Workflow are designed so you can begin without prior coding experience. Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn are enough. Data Science and AI, as well as Data Engineering, progress at a faster pace and expect you to be able to pick up Python or SQL using our preparatory materials. We review your background during the application process and provide honest guidance on whether a programme matches your level.
Can I really do this alongside a full-time job?
+
Yes. Every course is delivered as online evening classes. You should expect around 20 hours of learning per week, including 9 hours of live sessions and approximately 11 hours of self study and project work. Live evening classes are scheduled with working professionals in mind. You are not expected to study full time; however, the course is still intensive and requires consistent effort each week alongside your professional commitments.
What happens after I graduate?
+
Your projects will be reviewed in detail, with feedback on their strengths and areas for improvement. You will receive structured guidance on how to showcase your projects and skills in your CV, how to present your work professionally, and how to discuss your experience in interviews, including demonstrating projects from your GitHub to potential employers. You will also have access to our alumni network, where you can connect with peers, share insights and opportunities, and opt in to have your CV retained for potential employer referrals.
How is Luxley different from a cheap online course?
+
A low-cost video library leaves you alone with pre-recorded content. Luxley is cohort-based: live sessions with instructors who answer questions, review work, and hold you to the same standard employers care about. You build a portfolio of real projects, not multiple-choice badges. You pay for structure, accountability and people who know what the job actually looks like.
Is this recognised by UK employers?
+
UK employers hire based on skills and evidence, including interviews, technical assessments and portfolios, rather than the name on a certificate alone. Luxley is not a university degree and we do not claim formal accreditation such as OfS regulated qualifications. What we provide is intensive, practical training and help building projects that you can present in applications. Your proof comes from what you can build and explain, which is what hiring managers in data and AI assess.
